Antisemitism - the basics

When people assault Semites verbally and/or physically and showing hostility towards Semites because they are Semites.
That’s it. All addition or subtraction from that is personal opinion or propaganda.

  Examples of antisemitism:

The painting of swastikas on Jewish graves in France.
The Zionist genocide and apartheid and general brutality against Palestinians in Palestine.
  Calling someone a fake Jew.
  Weaponizing antisemitism.

  Examples of what isn’t antisemitism:

  Criticism of individual Semites.
Criticism of Israel and/or the Israeli government
  Criticism of Palestinian government.

Some claim that antisemitism is solely assault and hostility towards Jews, but that is anti-Judaism, not antisemitism.
Semite, person speaking one of a group of related languages, presumably derived from a common language. The term came to include Arabs, Akkadians, Canaanites, some Ethiopians, and Aramaean tribes including Hebrews.

This is not a matter of semantics, but of important distinctions.

Anti-Judaism, anti any ethnic group is just as bad, of course. One attack against one person based on culture and/or race and/or religion is one too many.
