The Burning

The third of third...

This is a poem, a story, a novel, a song, a movie.

THE BURNING

The Earth keeps its secrets…

It is whispered today
About times past
When giants walked the Earth
About secrets too terrible
For the light of day
Hidden away, unfathomable
In dusty minds, dusty archives
Of paper, minds and flesh
Fearing it will all once more
One day, one night
Rise from its ashes
As secrets do

The Earth reveals its secrets…

Resurrection dreams
Are haunting the waken moments
Of modern humans
Whispers like thunder
Of what we once were
Hidden below the Earth
Deep within a star
Inside us all
Is the secret that can
No longer be kept
This is The Burning
A glow like a star
Exploding like a universe
Deep in the gut
Of the Human Being

The Earth reveals its secrets
The Burning has always been inside us
We have just forgotten
Just been taught to forget
By the sniveling goats
Calling themselves Human Beings
Totally unable to handle
The Burning

Luanne is waking up one morning
Unable to go back to sleep
She dresses, looking into the mirror
Looking into the cracked mirror
Seeing a different Luanne
She’s hitting the streets
On her way to today’s slavery
She meets up with Chloe
With Peter, with Carl
They’re all heading for work
They’re looking at each other
Looking hesitatingly at the open door
Of the bus where human beings
Are stuffed like sardines
They leave the bus
Cries of suffering
Surrounding them like a coffin
They don’t go to work
The office, where human beings
Are stuffed like sardines
In a box

They hit the streets, leaving the streets
Finding a nice, quiet spot
Sitting in a dark, secluded café
Nursing their coffee
Coffee turns cold
Blood turns hot
They head for the nearest
Construction site
Going to work
They break through its high fence
Its barbwire
This is who we are, they cry
This is The Burning
They climb a lifting crane
A lifting crane with
The nice, little addition of
A wrecking ball
It’s tall, this lifting crane
Dwarfing the tallest buildings in the city
They jumpstart the engine
They’re on their way
The demolition crew
The wrecking ball starts swinging
Dancing on the precipice of the skyscrapers
Hitting the first building, the first wall
Panicked screams are rising from the gray fog
The stone desert
Blood and guts are decorating the gray
Hitting the streets far below

The entire building collapses in a brimstone
Of blood and guts
The next building is close
Just a turn of the crane
And more screams are added
To the zombie death cry
They wonder, the four in the crane
Can one kill what is already dead

Shadows are haunting the city
Creatures of mist and fire
In an excavation site below the city
Ancient carvings are found
Ancient knowledge of
Accessing the power within
They can feel it
Pulsing in their well, their Deep
A cone of fire rises from the deep
The city dies with a whimper
Not a shout
A corpse is giving up its ghost
The ancient tablets are teaching them
Teaching them to teach themselves
And they feel it
Feel The Burning.
Life is being reborn
In its wake

This is the secret:
The world is Magick
The world is Power
Human Beings may be witches
A threat to any imposed reality
So they turn the stone
They pick up the Magick
Inside
Revealing it to the world
Hearts are beating
Blood is boiling
Eyes are glowing
As the resurrected dream
Set out in the world
To destroy it
This is The Burning
The Earth joyfully
Giving up its secrets

We know our own worth
We know the fire inside
We know it’s worth any pain
Any hardship
To keep burning
This is The Burning
This is the power within
The burning inside
The human cauldron
Lit to the max

I Shit My Pants Today

More introductory comments, continued from the christmas thread below...

This is one of the most typical negative responses I've received on my christmas poems (also from so-called alternative people):

"What are you doing? Many of us were very distressed by this. Please remove us from your mailing list immediately".

Yeah, even people professing not to believe in santa sewage and the easter bunny and some of those other, outstanding citizens, reacted badly, because that's how they are trained, brainwashed to react.

And they know that, but they still send me such cowardly and horrible responses.

Well, as I told them: "Rest assured that I will keep sending you this, until you become a human being and not a tape recorder".

Case closed!

This particular poem is a result of a rather pleasant experience in London a few years back. I didn't mean for it to happen, but when it did, I used the opportunity to explore a rather unexplored venue of current human life.

This is the second of three...

I SHIT MY PANTS
I shit my pants today
I was not scared
or anything like that
I just needed so badly
And I was miles away
From the nearest public toilet
It wasn’t pleasant,
I tell you
Not pleasant at all
In fact it was
Unpleasant as hell
I walked the underground
I walked the streets
With a huge bulge
Between my pants
Smelling like
Wild roses and honey
I finally reached
An unpublic toilet
Half an hour too late
I cleaned myself up a bit
Leaving the toilet
Smelling like a toilet
I mean... there was shit
Everywhere
I left it a disaster area
And I smiled wickedly
To the man
On his way in
I wanted to go home
Cleaning myself up
But something wasn’t right
Something was still...
Missing
So I went to a restaurant
To eat my, oh so delayed
Dinner
I sat down in the chair
Presented to me
By the smiling, polite girl
Returning the smile
With my dazzling own
With pants full of
Still wet, forever slimy
Legal? substances
Was there a hint
Of accusation
Behind the polite smile?
More than a bit of
Insecurity
(And fear) for sure
In both guests and employees
I smiled
The food was good
I sat there smiling
As the chair turned wet
Under me
Even the music sounded great
I asked for another helping
And they eagerly brought it
I left the restaurant
Whistling my tune
I walked with light steps
Through well lit streets
I sat in the bathtub
Soaking wet
Enjoying the hot water
The bubbling soap
What a glorious end
To a perfect day

The Home in the Trenches

From BBC News Text-TV 2005-12-22:

DEFIANT PENSIONER WILL NOT MOVE

A pensioner has refused to sell her 125-year-old family cottage to make way for a multi-million pound development in Bristol. The £77m project of 459 residential flats is now being built around Jean Taylor’s Bedminster home. Mrs. Taylor has resisted all offers from the developers to sell the house where she was born 83 years ago. She said: «I’m determined to stay. I might only live a few more years. Why should I pull everything out, now?»

This touches upon many things of what’s wrong, horribly wrong with today’s world.

This is big capital against the little woman.

This is big capital against the world.

This is civilization itself against humanity.

This is all the aye-sayers against (un)common sense.

This is the world of today.

What we see here is the bulldozer, the all-purpose tool of civilization at work.

It’s not just that small thing of metal, driven by small men. It’s far more than that. What we see here is a spiritual or anti-spiritual force (if you will) at work, a Machine destroying human spirit wholesale. The bulldozer is one and many, representing civilization itself.

This is a typical case, make no mistake about that. Usually the protester in question is squashed, though, railroaded, without much change of success. But I guess it would have been very bad publicity to go through with this. That hasn’t stopped «developers» before, though.

It's certainly not very pleasant for her with all the ongoing construction work in her neighborhood. The terrorizing continues.

In this case, this visible proof of the undying human spirit will last until she dies, and then, in a puff of smoke, it will be gone.

I found nothing about this on the Internet at the moment of publishing, not even on the BBC News website. How strange is that?

Christmas is Finally Over

This tradition started as a part of my mailing list, a long and proud and controversial one.

There are quite a few new members on that list this year that have never had the pleasure of receiving this special christmas treatment.

It's the first of three...

CHRISTMAS IS FINALLY OVER
Christmas is over
Now we can laugh again
Christmas is over
Now we can live again
We that try to celebrate every day
the rest of the year
All this for a birth of one man
that probably never has been born
a son of a god that doesn't exist
Oh, how he would have laughed
at worshippers of this sadistic god
A god cruel among cruel gods
Who's really the fool, cries the jester
Who's putting their faith in an insane mirage
All this for the life of greedy men
that probably laugh their false hearts out
They cheat people the whole year around
How demented they must laugh
at worshippers of the mammon god
A god cruel among cruel gods
Who's really the fool, cries the jester
Who's putting their faith in an insane venture
Civilization...
Civilization...
Religion...
Yes, call it opium for the masses
But for you that don't appreciate irony
I'll call it bullshit, call a spade a spade
Christmas is over, thank God
Or... I should perhaps thank the devil
God probably wants it to last the whole year
Loving his subjects deaf, mute and blind
Christmas is finally over
My friend, you smiled with all the gifts
under the tree, inside your warm house
Why don't you anymore, my friend?
Is there now a season for smiling, too
Or do you dislike my smile
Who's really the fool, cries the jester
Who's putting all their faith in this world's glitter
Civilization is over
No more belief in saviors outside ourselves
No more denial of our inner, unique self
Both our strength and weakness are our own
No power from the devil, no submission before any god
One more mile beyond the next mountain
We're sitting next to the fire
Each new day is a celebration
Now we can laugh again...
Now we can live again...

I wrote this in exactly the same mood I'm in right now, in a fit of inspiration and perfect christmas spirit. It's refreshing to know that even the most stupid and depressing of moments can be used to something useful and totally inspiring.
As long as there is life there is hope, I always say (without saying it out loud most of the time, that is).

Feverish Earth - The North Atlantic Hurricane Season 2005

25…

Or if we count Epsilon (named in December), 26. That’s the number of named North Atlantic storms this season. It’s the highest number on record. No previous year even come close. Wilma became the strongest Atlantic Basin hurricane on record, with a pressure of 882 mb. There were three category five hurricanes. Records have fallen like dominoes this year. The season began early and «ended» late. They actually had to use the Greek alphabet to name the last four hurricanes, for the very first time. New ground has been forged in terms of hurricane behavior and nothing is as it was.

Katrina flooded New Orleans, causing strife and upheaval and death tolls and conditions virtually unheard of in modern times, and made its inhabitants flee to Texas. Rita followed them there, like a conscious entity, still haunting New Orleans.

So what does it all mean? What lesson should humanity learn from the «Acts of Retribution» nature has thrown at us in the year of our lord 2005…?

It’s easy, really: What we should have learned long ago, what we always have known: We and nature are one. No life form can even attempt to put itself outside nature and expect it to work. Not even in the most basic understanding of the word.

And it doesn’t. We’ve witnessed, the last twenty years or so, the result of tampering with forces far outside our current limited understanding. And our lack of such understanding isn’t lack of technical information. There is an abundance of that. No, it concerns our lack of knowledge of the most basic principles of the Universe, a crucial wisdom even a two-year-old child in a primitive tribe knows by heart.

This isn’t about release of Carbon Dioxide or Methane or pollution in general, about merely cleaning up our act, about ratifying or not that stupid «Kyoto-Protocol» or anything similar, or anything progressing along similar lines. All such things and pretence of solutions are merely the symptoms of the disease, a few of the countless caused by the current dominant system of civilization. This is more of a spiritual matter, really. We exist in a world, a world encompassing society never addressing the root of any problem. It’s a superficial, stale place never going deep in any way that matters, a place where cleverly placed mirrors of both religion and science are used to obscure the truth.

And that makes sense, in a twisted, backward kind of way, because the dominant forces of civilization, the most eager of its servants, hiding behind their heavy curtains and cloaked places of power, don’t want the truth to be known.

The disease is civilization itself.

The Cars That Burned Paris

When I listen to and watch the reports from French cities the last few weeks, I wonder why this isn’t happening more often, happening everywhere. It’s great to watch a rebellion in progress, to see the downtrodden actually fight back against the pervasive injustice of the world for once.

People are herded, of course, and it takes a lot to overcome that in a given population, takes a lot for a group of people to reach the breaking point, to overcome the brainwashing we are submitted to from the cradle. Individuals may want to rebel, but it takes special circumstances for it to happen the way it happens in France these days.

It’s a great thing to watch and even greater to experience. People that have been told they’re worthless their entire life, are showing themselves and others that they aren’t. They are empowering themselves, showing the world that they won’t take it anymore.

It’s about time, and it should have happened everywhere.

The supporters of tyranny and the whiners pretending to belong to its opposition speak about policemen being killed. So what? They’ve had it coming for so long, now. It’s poetic justice. Tiny bits of what they, the eager servants, the bullies of Tyranny have visited upon people for eons, are now revisited on them.

Cars are set on fire and blown up. Policemen and troops are being fired at and shot. Stores are robbed and buildings demolished. And it’s all good.

And there are signs that it’s spreading. Sympathetic actions are taken in Greece. Perhaps this won’t be yet another rebellion that will quickly fizzle and die. Perhaps, at least, even though it will fizzle and die, it will be the vanguard of something even more explosive that will come someday, to vanquish the tyranny the tyrants and both their eager and reluctant supporters call democracy.

Reality - head on

I finally rewatched the movie Amityville Horror (1979) with the additional History Channel package and the Hans Holzer commentaries during the weekend. Very interesting. There are so many viewpoints represented in this case that it can make your head spin.

But I knew that.

That in itself makes it even more interesting. The material is so rich, in content and even form that a Storyteller can't help becoming mesmerized by it.

Holzer constantly attacked religion during his commentaries. He did so to a point that it is amazing that they let him. He rejected totally Satan and God and Heaven and Hell as existent and as a cause for the Amityville Horror (like I do). I don't agree with him in everything, but he had some pretty interesting ideas about existence in general, among other things "the soul as an independent entity" and "the other place/world". He sees that as a mirror of this world or vice versa. Which it is. He generalized it, uniformed it too much, though. Someone is making the decisions there, too, according to him, which is bullshit. You have to join a queue to be reborn, "put your name on a list" and so on. To him it is a "place" of "Order" and hierarchy, while it's clearly one of rampant energies and "Chaos".

But seeing this be presented publicly, in a "prime time dvd" is still great.

He is a paranormal investigator. He has seeen glimpses of the world through his work, even though his application of it is "flawed". But then again, we will all never see more than glimpses of reality, of the "truth".

But great stuff.

The film is as I remember it, a slow build up to the cataclysmic ending.

And too much influenced by The Excorist and its heavy emphasis on religion.

They do present it as truth, though. There is no doubt in their mind, as seen through the film, that this truly happened.

And that is what still makes it so good, so controversial.

I could write on and on about this (and I do).

It doesn't frighten me anymore, because Reality doesn't frighten me anymore, and this is reality, head on.

Reality drove George and Kathleen Lutz half around the world, until they learned to deal with it, somewhat.

Another Life

They tell us from when we are very young that this is the only possible society, that the nation we’re born into is always right, at last on all important issues.

Disturbed and beyond uneasy we look at the world, and most of us join society, give in, without that much of a fight. A few years of rebellion, just a few bursts of fire, and we’re done. In a system discouraging independent thought and variety, most of us fall asleep, never to awaken again.

But a few of us keep wondering. We keep asking ourselves: Is there Life out here, beyond the mundane horror of modern existence? And after many years of searching we find what we’re looking for. We find what have eluded us, and we leave behind a place that was never our home. We may touch the society we abhor once in a while, but we Live on its edges and beyond its corners.

Yes, there is another life out there, and it’s not hard to find at all. It may take time, but it’s not hard. The search is its own reward. By searching you remove yourself from the tyranny of both mind and body the tyranny has imposed on us from birth, and gain at least a modicum of independence. And the best part of it is that that independence grows the longer you stay out there… on the Freedom Road.

The tyrants, the eager servants of the tyranny dominating today’s world, don’t want you to hear about that other life, that other world. They want you to stay in your (their) sandbox, and remain a mule your entire life. Their methods are so sneaky, so insidious that you may never even discover that you are a mule. But take that one or two or three crucial steps away from them and the collar they’ve placed around your neck dissolves, the shackle they hold you by breaks.

The world is so much more than we are told. Disregard the lies, and embrace the truth, the world, and you see it as it is… Infinite.

And Infinity can’t be collared, can’t be labeled and can’t be kept.

Aleister Crowley said that every man and woman is a star. And stars burn through any confinement.

You await you… out there… in Another Life.

And Life can’t be contained, can’t be groomed, can’t be shepherded.

And you are Life, unbridled and rampant and savage, anathema to the lifelessness that is today’s society, that is civilization itself.

Remember that, both in your darkest and brightest hour, and you will never kneel before any master, anyone or anything attempting to dominate and enslave you.

Feverish Earth - Stan the Man and other stories

Tropical storm and Hurricane Stan has killed at least 1900 (and gaining) people in Guatemala alone, hundreds more in Central America and Mexico, and has ravaged the coastline of the entire Gulf of Mexico to the United States border. An entire wall of a volcano crumbled and fell. Torrential rain has caused landslides and floods over a vast area. I have updated the number of fatalities four (six) times since I began writing this little piece, and there seem to be no end to the death.

Tammy, the nineteenth tropical storm of the season scoured Florida on its way north to the Carolina states, bringing more heavy rainfalls and floods.

During September countless storms ravaged the world. Rita brought wind and rain and floods to Texas, making those fleeing from Katrina flee once more. The New Orleans’ levees broke yet again. The Philippines, India, China and Japan were all hit by storms, killing thousands of people and destroying homes and buildings across a vast area.

In Portugal, the fires keep returning and keep occupying thousands of firefighters.

In Norway today, close to 80 degrees North was measured a temperature of 24.5 Celsius.

In October.

The nights are hot and dry.

It is clear skies at night. Clear skies at night used to mean cold and frosty nights. It doesn’t anymore.

And this isn’t just happening one place, but everywhere.

October used to mean snow and frost. Hell, December used to mean cold and biting frost. It doesn’t anymore. This year, like all years the last ten years lilies will bloom. They used to wait until it was almost spring.

They don’t anymore.

Feverish Earth is blooming, and humanity with it.

Mike Davis says that the Age of Chaos has begun and I believe him to be right.

I’ll add this:

The age of humanity has begun. We’re on our way Home.

Alternative news - the Nuclear Train

Here is more news from the big bad world, rarely or never making it to established channels.

We could also have used «Nuclear Convoy» or «Nuclear Ship» in the headline. Radioactive fuel and waste are crossing the globe.

The nuclear train travels at night, in the darkness, away from people’s blind eyes. It has done so for many years, while most people have looked away. The insanity has been allowed to continue without major interruptions.

There was a temporary stop when the German «red/green» administration took over the government a few years back, but both the coalition partners have long since exposed their true face. Die Grunen’s flirting with power was doomed from the start. They’re flirting no more. Their matrimony with the social democrats (and power) was without possibility for parole, the way the skeptics to this union predicted all the time. Nuclear power is merely one field where they have failed miserably.

The train runs within Germany. Between Germany and France. And it’s creating endless protests, demonstrations that at least are able to delay the transports and harm the forces behind the transports economically. It isn’t sufficient, but it is what it is. The grim reality demands far more of them and us, though. But those delaying the transport are still doing a great job. And various media, across the planet, report rarely or never or hopelessly inadequately about all this, this intense war against one of the most lethal among lethal enterprises on the globe.

The nuclear trains go day and night, on the roads, on railroads and by ship, and this is, as with many things, usually not reported, silenced to death, by cowardly journalists and reporters. We’re always returning to this fourth, supporting estate. Everything important is silenced to death or crucial, rebellious actions ridiculed and distorted to the point of them being impossible to recognize.

So the nuclear trains continue to run. From the port of Valognes in France to Gorleben in Germany. Protests, blockades and downright sabotage have periodically stopped the transports completely or partly. The Castor transports can only be completed aided by extensive police protection. Germany’s «red/green» and France’s blue government spare no expenses or effort to make sure the nuclear train runs, to assure the move of the worst poison humanity has ever had in its possession. A poison spreading slowly across the globe, from nuclear power plants, from various waste disposals, from hospitals, from military storage and other places besides. This is more systematic insanity. And it gives birth to violent and intense protests, protests we rarely hear about. People die for their ideals, true ideals, in the protest gatherings, and we don’t hear about it. We hear a lot of hogwash, but not the things we most of all need to hear, the proof that people are finally fed up. There are people out there fighting, people that have realized what an insane society we live in. But when these brave souls are mentioned in various established media they’re usually described as «professional protesters», «terrorists» or even «worse». What the fuck is wrong with the world?

All the world’s «nuclear trains» keep running, while life on Earth is slipping through our fingers.

I’m quite frankly sick of witnessing every time established media beat themselves on the chest, congratulating themselves on a job well done, on their «exposures», on being truth seeking and sharp of mind. It’s a joke, and nothing more, and not even a very funny one at that. I’m also getting nauseas every time the press is «criticizing» itself. It’s ridiculous, plain and simple, and as honest as horse-trading. It does sound quite convincing, of course. It always does, to the herd, to people that have eradicated all critical thinking in themselves many years ago.

You’ve just heard a small part of all the important news rolling in from all over the world.

In a time with ever more acts done to confuse and befuddle our minds, there are ever more essential reasons to tell the truth.

The truth will liberate us, not merely from the lies, but from a completely distorted and fucked-up world.

The nuclear train continues its run through the night…

In this place we write about what’s happening in relative secret, while people sleep.

One of many problems with modern day people is that most of them aren’t used to having their perception of reality challenged. They’ve gotten away with that, with that, too, for far too long.

2005-10-07 addendum:

The IAEA - The International Atomic Energy Agency was given the Nobel Peace Price today. The Nobel Peace Price Committee has actually made a few, very few brave and right choices through the years. The prices to Albert John Lutuli, Martin Luther King and Desmond Tutu spring to mind.

This is not one of those times.

There are two main reasons for this.

The first is that IAEA has become a tool for the current aggressive United States policy on perceived enemies.

The second is that IAEA at its core is working «for peaceful use of nuclear power». In other words, they are propagating the use of one of the most dangerous substances on the planet.

Where I Go

I go
I go behind the corner
And meet the Shadow
I burn in its face
Its tongue licks my ass
Swallowing my Self whole
And I am It
I found myself
In the places I’ve never looked

It is peaceful afterwards
If that word has any meaning
A campfire burns
In the two rivers of my ears
Is there a meaning in a word
One in a vision or two
Beyond the corner of the soul

I go where no one goes
And in that space
Where nothing can be
I find myself

Burning waters - the Katrina aftermath

The water burns constantly in New Orleans, day and night, as the waste of civilization is found everywhere. The city of New Orleans has become a cesspool, literally. And even the most optimistic prediction says it will take years and years to restore something as basic as the water supply to full capacity.

What amazes me the most about this, really, is how unprepared the various parts of the United States government was, on all levels, from local to national administrations. I mean, I know well that modern society, civilization itself, is far removed from nature, and will always be unprepared for its random qualities, for the ongoing storm of the Universe, but this is ridiculous.

When the entire countries of Nicaragua and Honduras were leveled by hurricanes years ago, when it became clear that restoration would take many years, it was said that that wouldn’t be the case with advanced technological nations. Comments were quite patronizing. Well, it is now clear that that was just more technological conceit, hubris.

Katrina was a Category Five hurricane when closing in on New Orleans. It could very well have stayed that way, and caused even greater devastation. Everyone knew it was coming, but still they failed miserably to prepare for it and its aftermath in any way even approaching sufficient. It took a week, a week, before aid arrived in earnest.

Thousands have died. The actual number will more than probably never be known. Bodies still float in the water. People still die of starvation, lack of water and disease. They are boiled to death inside hot, disease-ridden rooms. They can’t drink the ever-present water. It’s a cesspool of pollution, bacteria-infestation, dead, rotting bodies and excrements.

Many reasons have been mentioned why this happened. Some say that it was allowed to happen, and that is certainly true, on many levels. Some say it is a ghoulish exposure of modern racism. That is true as well. Some say it is a war against poor people, a show of contempt, of ignorance, well beyond criminal negligence. One thing is certain: The message this event sends to the world’s poor is loud and clear: You are worthless. You are nothing but filth worthy of nothing more than a watery grave. George W. Bush says that no one could predict that the levees would break, and that is merely yet another of his boldfaced, absolutely amazing lies (and still a LOT of his mindless supporters say he reacted in time and generally does a good job in office). A number of local people and authorities have been screaming their lungs out in warnings for decades. The United States government abandoned New Orleans long before this. Everybody knew heavy investment was needed, on a broad front, both in the city and Louisiana in general. But nothing happened.

All these things, and more, are true.

But what I will say is the obvious, major reason is this: We humans have built walls around ourselves, between ourselves and beautiful, savage nature, and now the payback is here. Through centuries and millennia we have removed ourselves ever further from our home, from the world, from Life itself, and this is the inevitable reckoning. The Earth has fever. It is sick. The temperature is rising and the host’s antibodies are being deployed, and the disease humanity has become is attacked with an ever growing force. We have massively scarred the planet. We are killing life wholesale. In short: we are committing slow suicide.

The fever won’t subside. It won’t cease. But on the contrary continue to grow on a geometrical scale, until we, the disease come to our senses, and reject civilization, and everything in it, and stop acting like a disease and once again begin acting like the savage, ferocious beast we truly are.

Then the Earth will accept us again, and stop killing us on a massive scale, and the massive suffering we submit ourselves to, will end.

If we don’t do it ourselves, if we, ourselves don’t end the tailspin suicide existence we have created for ourselves the Earth will force its very, very brutal end on us.

Katrina and her like are a mirror, one in which we see ourselves.

News from the big, bad world

In alternative news and publications, like Green Anarchist, both on and off the web, you can read about many things you never hear about anywhere else. Things that are hardly whispered about in established media are here shouted across the world.

You can read about extensive protests against road construction, against factories, against nuclear power and transports of nuclear material, about people jailed simply because they’re reporting on protests and radical struggle. About people gathering in nature, people at least making an effort to relearn how to live in humanity’s natural environment, people rewilding themselves.

There is a forest of news and events out there that most people don’t get to know about, because they don’t look, because they’re passive receivers of what the established media spits out. Because they’re even getting enraged when truly informed people tell them that they’re not informed at all, but belong to the dull crowd of inactive and useful idiots.

Is the news from Iraq news?

Is the news we’re shown daily in established media true information?

Or is it instead thinly veiled propaganda?

Is this important to us who want to change the world, change it head to toe, or is it hardly more than diversions taking attention away from what truly matters? Does it matter if fifty or fifty-one people are killed in traffic accidents the previous month? Does it matter who is prime mini$ter or pre$ident in a given country, who is executing a politic long since decided and unchangeable?

Of course not. The long proven truth of the matter is that close to a hundred percent of what we see on established news channels… is utterly meaningless.

The important news and events happens on the edge of and outside today’s established society, in the shadows and the night of what we have been taught is important, is essential. That’s where the true changes and potential changes begin, to perhaps grow to one day become a valid threat to the establishment. And at that moment it turns interesting. At that moment established press attack like wolves the people that are the driving force in that group. The distortions and attacks against those desiring justice and a minimum of freedom in the world begin. Statements, motives and goals are twisted to the point that they are hardly recognized, not even by the people that initially stated them.

Established media is lies, justifications, pretexts and propaganda. All else is unintentional or pure coincidence. Nothing even remotely related to the truth can be found sitting on a couch, watching television, at the breakfast table, by reading the papers.

So, those of us who are looking find it in unofficial forums. We find it at a construction site in Newbury, at a ravaged pelt farm or a burned-out factory somewhere on Earth. In a forest fairly unharmed by civilization.

In the many prison cells, in any country in the world.

The noose is tightening. New, more efficient laws are supplanting the old. Ever more people are put behind bars, many solely because they have dared to speak out against the increasing oppression. Imprisonment has already become Big Industry in many countries and is about to become so in the rest.

Green Anarchist, A-Infos, Earth Liberation Front, Animal Liberation Front, Green Anarchy, Indymedia and countless other smaller and bigger alternative sources give excellent information about all this, far better than established channels.

But, truth to be told, that isn’t really saying much.

Feverish Earth - Late August update

Thousands of people living in and around the low-lying Louisiana city of New Orleans are fleeing as the Hurricane Katrina approaches. Ray Nagin, the city's mayor, who ordered the mandatory evacuation, says it is an unprecedented move. Forecasters say the city could be in the eye of the storm when Katrina, now swirling over the Gulf of Mexico, hits. The storm has strengthened into a dangerous Category Five hurricane - the highest on the Saffir-Simpson scale - with winds of up to 160 mph (257 km/h). Katrina has caused at least nine deaths since it lashed Florida on Thursday. It is the sixth hurricane hitting Florida in less than a year.

The hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and surrounding areas this morning. Most of its impact was on the heavily populated area east of the city. But windows were still smashed and roofs disappeared in the central parts of town. Thousands of poor refugees, people without a car, unable to obey the evacuation order, hid inside the Superdome stadium. Parts of its roof blew off, but it stood its ground. Trees have broken everywhere, and water covers the street. There is not a single whole house anywhere. Yet a sense of relief is actually dominating people’s thoughts, a certainty that New Orleans avoided Armageddon once more.

- It’s bad, a man says, – but we all know we didn’t get the worst of it. We could have, if only things were a little bit different.

Katrina wasn’t as powerful as was feared. It lost some of its punch (going from Category Five to Four), and turning left, just before landfall. In spite of all the destruction, all the suffering it didn’t turn out to be anywhere near the cataclysmic disaster it could have become.

New Orleans has been given yet another reprieve.

Powerful hurricanes have increased in both intensity and longevity the last ten years. An index describing the intensity and longevity of the hurricanes shows that the hurricane level in the period 1995-2004 was 70 percent higher than the average for the last fifty years. The surface temperature of the oceans gives energy and drive to the hurricanes, and that has also reached dramatic record levels the last ten years.

2005-08-30

It is now evident that the initial fairly positive reports from Katrina’s arrival in New Orleans and Louisiana/Mississippi were not very reliable. The devastation is immense. At least hundreds of people, probably more, in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama have lost their lives. Media has had an increasing tendency to underreport natural disasters the last decade or so, and we all wonder why...

Local government officials are now stepping forward one by one, telling it like it is, and a picture of horror and immense destruction is emerging.

Katrina, carrying a nine meter tall wall of water, hit the city of Biloxy «like a velvet glove», and quite simply disintegrated houses in its path. A levee holding back water from Lake Pontchartrain has a seventeen meters broad hole. Most of New Orleans is flooded and the water level is rising fast. It is said that at least hundred thousand people are trapped within the city. Bodies are floating in the water.

Major parts of the region will be inhospitable for weeks, perhaps longer. Electricity will be gone for a long time. Drinking water will be heavily polluted and make people ill in the foreseeable future. People are looting shops and grocery stores right in front of the police and soldiers, stating that they have to do so to feed, to survive. South Eastern United states has become a wasteland of rubble and ruins and death.

And this was, according to official statements «only» a Category Four» hurricane the moment it hit land. One can hardly imagine how much worse it would have been if Katrina had remained a Category Five.

Oh, yeah, ninety percent of the United States' Gulf of Mexico oil production has shut down.

Sunday there were queues all the way to the Texas border, and the refugees will remain there for a while, before returning slowly, painfully to «the City of the Dead».

The Atlantic hurricane season ends in November. At least traditionally it does.

Magick in the attic

We sit there, around the table, our faces lit by candles, by the flickering fire. It’s twilight, and Night and the Wild are coming to us. The Twilight Storm awakens in our hearts, inside us, as it awakens outside. We dance, as we sit there, mumbling and chanting our half edible words, as half forgotten syllables and understanding float into the air, float like we do, into the charcoal night.

It’s Witchnight tonight, the ancient night we know intimately at the tip of our tongue. At this night we break through the boundaries of our mind, we smash the velvet walls to that fluttering true Other World of our Dreams. Fire burns our wings and makes them true. Fire turns to ashes, turns to shadows, to the strongest of feathers. Yes, we know this night intimately. We have celebrated it for millennia, celebrated this night of gossamer and truth.

I cast this spell, we choir, to forever banish our limitations, our fear of succeeding. We hold hands. We form a circle around the soundlessly shaking table, the flickering lights, the shadows that has become our faces. I am The Storm, we choir. I am the coming twilight, the Earth and sky, day and Night. The Witch brings out what is inside and we are witches. We are the whisper echoing in eternity. This is the world. Feel it! Sense what is misplaced and bring it forth once more. Pull it from the deepest recesses of the furnace that is the Human Being, and burn like the Night.

The windows are open. We see them and sense and feel the wind. It’s there, right at our fingertips, ever untouchable, ephemeral and tangible simultaneously. The gates open up to the Other World. There are flashes, of memory, of the world, and other memories as well. We can’t stop them from coming, and we don’t want to. A burning circle formed once in the distant past, the distant future, the distant now, and it never stops burning. As our bodies catch fire, as shadows and dark fire surround our form, we know. In fleeting moments, lasting forever, we know the truth.

Feverish Earth - More additions

Katrina - the eleventh Atlantic storm this season - is ravaging Florida and the Caribbean.

Fires and drought continue to ravage Portugal, Spain and France. Firefighters from large parts of the EU are attempting to help out, in vain.

Floods are drowning Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Rumania in another «the worse in living memory» rainfall. Here it is the water that is killing and maiming people, like the fire does in the southern parts of Europe.

The New Zealand snow is vanishing in early spring. Alpinists from United States and Europe, going down there to find snow… don’t find any. Winter sports are becoming an increasingly threatened activity.

In Japan, threatened by yet another Typhoon, one disrupting the preparations to the World Rowing Championships, summer sports are revealed to be an endangered species as well.

Yes, the fever leaves no area or activity alone.

It leaves no one alone.

The usual lies and deceit

The London police told the public and Jean Charles de Menezes’ family that he was a terrorist.

They lied.

They said he was fleeing from the police and dodging the Underground fare (yes, that too, terrible isn’t it…)

They lied.

They claimed he was wearing a wide and thick jacket, well suited for hiding explosives, «well known» as the typical suicide bomber haute couture.

They lied through their teeth.

First they claimed he was a terrorist. Then they said he looked like one and acted like one, in an attempt to justify their regime of tyranny and intimidation and fear.

And as usual very few people are asking the right questions after such a horrible event. It seems to be perfectly all right (as usual) for the police to kill a human being. It was a mistake, people say. Very few are questioning the uniformed thugs’ right, a right given them by the tyrants and a clueless population, to do such a thing.

No one is arrested. The person that leaked the truth to the press has been suspended. He has not been praised. He has not been given a medal, to honor his brave acts. No, he has been punished for his transgression against the system and its eager servants, those getting away with murder time and time again.

A whistle blower is not popular in certain circuits, that’s for sure.

And once again, very few are asking the right questions:

Why did Jean Charles de Menezes have to die?

Was he a patsy? If so, was he a randomly chosen victim or is something even more sinister being hidden from public view? If so it will certainly not be the first time.

Tapes from four CCTV cameras have disappeared into thin air, and no one seems to know where they have disappeared to...

Most patsies know too much. History has taught us that.

Why isn’t there a public outcry against the murder?

Something went seriously wrong this time, also seen from the tyrants’ point of view. They failed on several counts this time around. They couldn’t make even the dumbest citizen believe Jean Charles de Menezes was a terrorist. They couldn’t even make the cover up stick, at least not the most obvious.

And still most people stay loyal to, stay supportive of the oppressive regime dominating today’s human society. There is opposition to the tyrants’ desire to tighten the noose, to develop the tyranny further, but it is so weak, so very weak. They rule all important parts of society, from top to bottom in the rotten hierarchy, controlling the vertical, the horizontal and its adjacent three-dimensional space, the x, y and z of modern life.

They lie completely openly, without consequences, and their vile acts, murders and torture on assembly lines and worse, go practically unopposed.

The murder of Jean Charles de Menezes is not the exception, but the norm.

This is the world «we the people» get by accepting tyranny, accepting murder and the countless inhuman acts in the name of democracy and freedom and safety. The tyrants do all these things in our name and we do nothing. We, by proxy, killed Jean Charles de Menezes and countless, countless others.

So…

How do we get rid of the tyrants, of the tyranny?

That one is easy. By removing their/its power base. It is really that easy.

But there is a problem, one major, seemingly insurmountable problem.

We the people are their, its power base.

And we do nothing.

The Path to Power

«A party is like a meat grinder.
It grinds all the brains into one stew».
Henrik Ibsen
There are always parliament elections somewhere in the world, where lies are produced on an assembly line. Lies are always popular among the politicians and leaders of the current world, but never more so than during an election year, and in that regard it’s necessary to state a few plain truths.

It’s said we turn more conservative as we grow older, more closed to alternative views, more willing to accept conformity. This is obviously not true with everybody. There are exceptions, fortunately, showing there are ways to resist group pressure.

It’s said that power corrupts. This is obviously true - without exceptions. A Serbian-Croatian proverb says: «Give a man power and you’ll see who he is». Whether it’s in politics or climbing the corporate ladder one sees the truth of it time and time again. Those setting out as idealists and with a burning desire to change things, change society in drastic ways, find that it isn’t society, but they who are changed. Ten, fifteen years after they began their single minded journey on the Path to Power they’re no better than the people they originally held in justified contempt, and they’re defending the same things they do, making them an integrated part of the same oppressive regime.

When protesters and rebels are charging the gates of power, those very people, in their newly won position, are as eager as their predecessors to send their uniformed thugs (policemen, military and secret services) at the people opposing society’s accepted gospel. It looks like the people with new-won power have completely forgotten that they were once at the other side of the fence. When they’re confronted with «their sordid past» they usually offer excuses like «I was young and immature» or similar. Now, when they’re less mature than ever, now, when they have discarded their very humanity, everything they once saw as essential in life.

The list of former idealists, rebels and revolutionaries attempting to join the system to change it is long and sad. They’ve all failed. The system is still here, more dangerous than ever. Fundamentally speaking it remains unchanged. The changes are cosmetic and to the worse. Change people. Change ideologies. The tyranny prevails. All the idealists, rebels and revolutionaries, all the suckers, become more or less willing victims on the Path to Power.

A good illustration of such processes is what happened to the Greens, the various environmental parties entering politics the last twenty-five years or so of the twentieth century. Spurred on by the increasing ecological crisis and the collapse of communism most alternative oriented people joined them, especially after the «success» of the German branch.

«Die Grunen» started as an alternative movement with heavy emphasis on ecology and an anti-authoritarian and anti-war stance. But the seeds of dissolution and capitulation were present right from the start. They quickly turned into what effectively were two factions. One become «Fundis», those who wanted to change society in drastic ways and not make compromises. The other became «Realis», those who wanted to cooperate with other parties and make compromises. Events proceeded as they often do today. Fundis was cast out. The people supporting it were either pushed out or they quit in frustration. Today Realis is part of the German government, and they’ve discarded everything they once believed in. They haven’t changed society. Society has changed them. They support all important parts of the system. They support the War. They support nuclear power. They support Agenda 2010, the social democrats’ erasure of the German welfare state. They haven’t made any serious attempt to even reduce pollution. Is this The Green, or in truth just another bunch of society’s servants.

Andrea Fischer, former health minister in the «red/green government, now lobbyist, illustrates this in an excellent manner with this revealing statement (to Der Spiegel English site):

«I think politics without power is not politics. If you say you are not interested in power, you should write for the papers, not be a politician. What distinguishes us from other European (Green - author’s comment) parties is our relationship to power. Others think power is nasty and muddy, but if you look back, the changes of the Green party put them on the way to power».

And the great thing about it all: a lot of what she’s saying is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.

Heavy irony here…

Not that other countries’ green parties are that much better. They have also rid themselves of their fundis. But no others have reached the level of power that the German green has reached, as Andrea proudly states.

She actually seems proud beyond words. What reason she has for her pride is harder to gauge, except for the fact that she and the Party have achieved Power.

Of their three initial principals, and every other area where they’ve sold out, there are now nothing left.

And now green parties all over the world are copying the German Realis. Both in Great Britain and the United States there is a lot of talk about «proportional representation» as if it’s the Holy Grail. They refuse to listen when true radicals, with experience from «proportional representation», tell them that this is not a viable solution, that it is just yet another misdirection, an even more sneaky way to organize tyranny. It is, to use more heavy irony, a freedom lover’s last temptation…

And it should and must be repeated time and time again: These are just a few of countless illustrations about what’s happening when people and groups of people attempt to change the system, instead of using all their energy to destroy it.

Democracy is obviously a deception, one designed to more easily fool people into believing they’re there when the decisions are made. At best it’s the tyranny of the majority. At worst it’s both the tyranny of the majority and minority simultaneously. You’re being told you’ll lose influence by not voting, by not using your right to take part in the election, but that’s a lie; that’s when you’re taking it back, from everyone and everything that have stolen it from you.

You take one step, at least, on your path back to independence, a certain autonomy. You take a modest, but not unimportant step forward in the process of reclaiming your own life.

than a man falsely believing himself to be free».

The Mother of All Wars

United Kingdom’s Prime Mini$ter Tony Blair knows his bible, knows his «1984». He sits there with it in his lap, and he gains daily inspiration from it. One of the most important points the novel describes is that the most effective way to control a population «is to keep the world in a permanent state of war». It has become gospel these days.

United Kingdom has taken the lead in the fight against free expression and independence. The video surveillance of our streets began, began in earnest there. ASBO, «the law against anti-social behavior», has been working for a while there, with the introduction of curfews and similar in «places of unrest». Many claim that the United States is the point, is best in class, when it comes to destruction of our very last human rights, but perhaps United Kingdom is more deserving of that honor. No matter, it’s no coincidence that the tiny island nation is the United States’ foremost partner in this endeavor.

It’s not very productive to focus on one person or a set of persons, random janitors in the halls of power or a few nations for the increase in tyranny we see today. Change a person or a group of persons, elect or appoint another person or group of persons to the various positions within the system, and nothing changes. The system itself prevails.

That being said, Tony Blair, «Teflon Tony» and his servants have served the system in an excellent manner, in a manner «far beyond the call of duty». The system, the tyranny that began long before 11/9, long before 7/7 (or 21/7), long before even the video surveillance or databases. But it was intensified then. The Arabs have an expression: «The Mother of All Wars», about the final war, «the war to end all wars», an expression also favored among the western allies.

Keep people in the mud. Keep them in a permanent state of paralysis and fear, and they stop dreaming, stop caring, and all they hear is Big Brother or Big Sister’s voice, and they become easy to lead, easy to rule. Here and there, there and here, until they don’t know south from north, or in from out, and they don’t listen to any others, any alternative explanations to what’s happening. And thus is today.

No, the final war, if there is such a beast, isn’t soldiers fighting, machines of flesh and blood bombing small children and pregnant women and helpless people on markets with planes and large guns. It isn’t fought with physical weapons. It does so happen that blood flows and bones break, but that isn’t the main purpose. It has never been. It’s about our humanity, about our ability to think and act independently, to hold on to the fire inside, the fire that keeps us from kneeling for Tyranny, for its servants, puppets on strings such as Blair and Bush and all the rest. The fire inside keeps us from joining the army of eager servants, docile slaves, keeps us from becoming like them, becoming them.

And this is what the Tyranny more than anything wants to take away from us.

The Mother of All Wars is fought in our hearts and minds.

Feverish Earth - additions

The eight storm, Harvey, approaches Bermuda «as we speak». The National Hurricane Center in Miami will be using the Greek alphabet to extend the number of names this year, as the latest projection says the number of storms is expected to exceed the names on the list. The new data totally blows away this year’s storm forecast.

And Global Warming is fueling these numerous and nastier storms, according to more and more new reports.

The tropical Atlantic Ocean temperature is currently 3 degrees above normal, stressing the truth about the current and upcoming global cataclysm.

In Portugal 1500 firemen are fighting against twenty forest fires, «the worst in memory». Those words are also being used to describe the drought. Warm winds from Spain makes the temperature rise to 45 degrees Celsius in the shade. The water supplies are dwindling rapidly. 53000 people are dependent on water from trucks. According to the Portuguese agricultural department there have been 4353 forest fires so far this year.

The Hurricane Ivan generated a wave more than 27 meters high - the tallest and most intense wave ever measured. It would have dwarfed a ten-story building and had the power to snap a ship in half, but it never reached land. Sensors on the ocean floor recorded the wave, as Hurricane Ivan passed over the Gulf of Mexico last September. The observations prove that prior estimates for extreme waves are too low, scientists warn in the magazine Science.

Alternative news - feverish Earth

While bombs and bombshells dominate the news far more dramatic things are happening behind the curtain of media misdirection, media lies. In our series of alternative news we have now come to Global Warming and what it leads to.

The Hurricane Franklin recently formed north of Jamaica, the sixth Atlantic storm in three weeks. The previous, Arlene, Bret, Cindy, Dennis and Emily have all caused more or less enormous destruction in the Mexican Gulf, and at the east coast of Mexico and the United States. The National Hurricane Center in Miami uses most of the alphabet (twenty-one names) each year designating hurricanes (the hurricane season starts during the summer and ends in December). If this keeps up they’ll have to reboot with «A» for the first time in recorded history.

On Greenland the glacier Kangerdlugssuaq is shrinking by 14 kilometers a year, a completely unprecedented event. The entire Greenland icecap is melting. And that little shakeup alone will make the world’s oceans rise with eight meters. The melting in Antarctica will cause an even bigger rise. A moderate estimate says seventy meters. Another three hundred. If there are cartographers left in thirty years, they’ll have quite a job redrawing the world’s coastlines.

This summer there have been heatwaves, drought and floods of another world in the United States, Europe (Italy, Rumania), and Australia. In China, as is usually the case, it’s everything simultaneously. In India people are being killed off like flies during the worst Monsoon rain in memory. We’re growing used to stuff like this, now. It led to major news coverage fifteen years ago, but not anymore. It has gone too far, become too dangerous to report in an extensive and necessary manner.

The human created Global Warming started quite a while ago. Now it’s taking off in earnest. The deserts cover ever more of the globe. Sahara has already reached Southern Europe. The storms are increasing in number and strength. As early as in 1995 United Nations stated that the number of natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and such increased with six percent a year, warning that it was a progressively increasing every year, something later shown to be very true.

Life on Earth, also harmed through other human activities like extensive poisoning of all creatures and the environment, by general destruction of and screwing with nature, is brought further towards the breaking point.

Another result of a warmer Earth, of more Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, is that plants grow faster and bigger. This the industry has used in its propaganda to not have to implement dramatic and needed changes. Robert Balling, a man bought and paid for by the industry has, among others led on in this euphoric optimism. But it’s all (as usual) shown to be a mixed blessing. It’s true that the plants grow faster and bigger, and that there will be more of them, at least in what will remain of green areas. But the amount of nutrients in these plants will fall to such a level that humans and animals surviving on the plants quite simply eventually will starve to death, the so called «hidden hunger», an effect also created by modern food production. In short we’re eating ourselves to death. Not just because of all the poison contained in modern food, but also because it’s extremely low on nutrients compared to natural food, what hunters and gatherers digested in pre-civilized societies.

So, what’s done to halt this development, all this threatening all life on the globe? Nothing or as good as nothing.

As usual.

Greenhouse gases are being poured into the atmosphere. The industry and its paid servants in politics keep anything resembling the necessary drastic measures from being implemented.

The Kyoto Accord isn’t even approaching sufficient. It doesn’t even decrease the increase, and wouldn’t have done so even if all nations had ratified it. Those believing it’s more than a fart, a piss in the ocean should reconsider as quickly as possible.

To really make a dent the amount of CO2 must return to pre-industrial level, as a necessary first step. And even if that, against all odds (dream on) should be implemented we will still, because of the inherent delay in the system have to wait hundred-and-fifty years before it starts to fall significantly.

The Earth has fever and we’re all sensing its cramps, whether we’re admitting it or not.

Real estate prices on the world’s mountains and mountain plains will surely skyrocket in the coming years.

Secret services strike again

Stockwell shooting was mistake, says Met

By Philippe Naughton, Times Online

The man shot dead by police at Stockwell Underground station yesterday morning had nothing to do with Thursday's abortive London bomb attacks, Scotland Yard said tonight.

According to witnesses, the man was shot five times at close range after being chased onto a Northern Line train at the South London station at around 10am. Sir Ian Blair, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, said later that the man was directly connected to the bungled bombings of three Tube trains and a London bus the day before.

The Met said in a statement this afternoon:

"We believe we now know the identity of the man shot at Stockwell Underground station by police on Friday 22nd July 2005, although he is still subject to formal identification. We are now satisfied that he was not connected with the incidents of Thursday 21st July 2005. For somebody to lose their life in such circumstances is a tragedy and one that the Metropolitan Police Service regrets".(...)

Amos Keppler's comments:

Jean Charles de Menezes is dead, executed by the British Secret Service.

Most people see this as a "tragic mistake", brought on by "unfortunate circumstances". I (and many others fortunately) see it as a direct result of a deliberate government policy, not just in England, but everywhere. Countless unarmed people have been killed by the police through the years. This is "merely" one more.

Added to this is the extra, deliberate paranoia brought on by the post 11/9 world, the world the masters very much desire and have worked so hard for.

"One down, three to go", The Sun wrote. I wonder what they will write now, if they will come up with anything even resembling a retraction, an apology, an attempt to find the Truth.

The important thing right now, as ever, is to say NO to the lies the government tells us.

They tell us that islamic terrorists are behind the bombings the last five years. They lie! The various governments or rather the forces behind the throne executed the bombings in an ongoing attempt to impose tyranny on a mostly clueless population.

This is one more lie, one more charade... among thousands, all incorporated into the BIG LIE that is the modern society.

And even now, with the result of the paranoia they've created seeing the light of day, unavoidable, they're allowed to continue their charade, allowed to keep building their modern tyranny.

We see now, once again, what secret services are created for, to terrorize a nation's own population.

That's their sole purpose.

The tyrants have been exposed... again, but they remain at large, remain free to keep their tyranny going, and nothing significantly is DONE to put a STOP to it!

Five bullets

A passenger has told how armed police officers shot a man dead on a London Tube train at Stockwell.

Eyewitness Mark Whitby to BBC News 24: [I was sitting on the train... I heard a load of noise, people saying, "get out, get down". I saw an Asian guy. He ran on to the train, he was hotly pursued by three plain clothes officers, one of them was wielding a black handgun. He half tripped... they pushed him to the floor and basically uploaded five shots into him.]

Dear Papa

An old mexican man lived alone in East Los Angeles. He wanted to spade his garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, Jose, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament.

"Dear Jose: I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my garden this year. I'm just too old to be digging up a garden. If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the garden for me. Tu Padre"

A few days later, he received a letter from his son.

"Dear Papa: Por Dios, Papa, don't dig up the garden! That's where I buried all my drugs and money. Tu hijo, Jose."

At 6 a.m. the next morning, the L.A. Sheriffs showed up and dug up the entire area without finding any drugs or money. They apologized to the old man and left. That same day, the old man received another letter from his son.

"Dear Papa: Go ahead and plant your garden now, papa. It's the best I could do under the circumstances. Love, Jose."

Conquering Mt. Everest—and Trash

A bit of old news, still very valid. It has turned progressively worse since then.

The Path Too Well-Traveled

As the highest mountain on Earth, Mt. Everest represents the ultimate challenge for mountain climbers. But a different challenge faces the Inventa Everest 2000 Environmental Expedition, a team currently on the mountain. The participants have no interest in reaching the 29,035-foot summit. Instead, these climbers aim to clean Mt. Everest.

Mt. Everest is becoming known as the world's highest junkyard. Why is this mountaineering mecca in Nepal so polluted?

Thanks in part to Mt. Everest, tourism to Nepal (located between China and India) has exploded over the past few decades. Sir Edmund Hillary and his Sherpa climbing partner, Tenzing Norgay, were the first to conquer Mt. Everest in 1953. Now as many as 400 people each spring and fall attempt to climb Mt. Everest, or Sagarmatha, as the people of Nepal call it.

Not surprisingly, the increase of adventurers has led to an increase in litter, especially along the most popular route to the summit—the Southeast Ridge. The trail consists of a base camp at 17,600 feet and four additional camps closer to the summit. Since the first successful expedition, at least 50 tons of trash have accumulated.

At least 10 tons of garbage litters the 26,300-foot South Col, also called Camp IV. Most mountaineers make their final assault on the summit from here.

Decency

Bob Geldof - Sir Bob - firmly sided with the establishment Wednesday, attacking the active protesters at Gleneagles. He spoke about «human decency» and how little the protesters, being beaten up by the brutal police force, adhere to his measure, his idea of what «human decency» is.

Police brutality at the G8-summit
in Gleneagles, Scotland

I think he should think more - a lot more - about whom he is aligning himself with.

What forces are you supporting, Bob, now, when you firmly and clearly are joining the side of the tyrants? What human decency are you speaking about? The policemen beating the shit out of brave protesters, the true protesters not obeying the tyrants’ orders like the other good dogs? The men and women bombing entire countries, until nothing but ruins are left? The forces destroying the world and all life on it?

Some people like what you’ve done with Live8. I certainly don’t. I think you’ve just turned into a scared old man not daring to take a true stand against tyranny. Humanity is committing slow suicide, and you’re sitting on your high horse and condemning the few that are actually taking a true stand against the masters of the world. You’re a true liberal, man, one sitting in your ivory tower, while the world is being destroyed around you.

And the eight men at Gleneagles and their lapdogs, even though they are only janitors, only representatives of the true masters of the world, the forces behind the throne, are men who have long since forgotten, like you have, Bob, what true decency is. They don’t mind when people smile, when they sing and dance and march peacefully miles from where they, the Eight sit. They love it when professed rebels play their game, and idiots like you call them decent, and claim you can appeal to their humanity.

I can’t decide whether or not you’re insane or just another lapdog. Probably a bit of both.

Gain

The question is, who has most to gain by the blasts in London?

The eight tyrants gathered at Gleneagles, of course.

Teflon Tony had problems getting his Big Brother scheme through the Commons.

This will now be an easy task.

No one of the sycophants will dare oppose it.

Fear is the key. Keep the population in a grip of fear, and they are too scared to think and act, and do anything, except join the fold of eager servants.

Acting in anger towards those telling the truth.

It's becoming increasingly clear that the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington DC was the work of the US government. Since then they, in tandem with Teflon Tony and other servants have acted repeatedly to implement their Orwellian sceme.

Which was/is the entire point.

It was all so very, very convenient for the people at the top, using the terrorist scare to stay in power.

Swearing

I just want to express my joy over all the swearing by artists participating in the Live8 concerts. It truly warms my heart when Madonna and the others go at it.

I know, swearing is really just yet another christian thing, comprised of a number of words and expressions considered taboo and offensive by people with a narrow view on morality and life in general.

But it’s still fun to see those pious, sanctimonious idiots being offended.

I mean… is fucking offensive?

Is shit offensive?

You get my drift.

BBC got thousands of complains and like the cowards they are, BBC apologized.

Except for these funny bone incidents nothing much of interest happened.

The event itself wasn’t much of an event, except for being yet another failed attempt at solving and even addressing the world’s ills.

As should have been obvious from the start from those participating.

This is charity, no matter what the coordinators behind the projects claim, and charity has never solved anything. It has, on the contrary always made things worse. Misdirection and diversion tend to do that.

The World Grinder

Picture a giant meat grinder hovering in Space, grinding, grinding. The planet Earth is being sucked into its gap, and out on the other side comes not meat, but metal, concrete, plastic and glass, one giant, planet-sized Mega City, black, gray, dead.

We are intimately familiar with this Machine. It is, after all, just a larger version of the Meat Grinder we face daily, the grinder digesting us and spitting us out time and time again as we grow up, as we grow old and useless in this world.

This is civilization, its inevitable result.

This is yet another consequence of our current lifestyle most people haven’t given much thought, if any at all. What are they thinking? Are they thinking? Humans have already transformed fifty percent of the Earth, transformed it from nature, wild, free and full of life, to something unrecognizable, dead, unable to sustain life. Can a city sustain life? Can one eat concrete? Eat plastic, glass or metal? Earth’s ecological system and systems are breaking down, breaking down faster and faster, as ever more of the Earth is turned into a cemetery, a place fit for the dead, not the living.

Perhaps distant areas like Mount Everest (its base is already crawling with garbage), Antarctica and the deepest parts of the deserts will remain untouched for a while longer, remain «natural reserves», tiny parks within the grand Mega City. Perhaps there will be small ponds of seawater at the deepest part of the Pacific?

Perhaps not. Sooner or later it will all go. This is the direction humanity is heading, the planet is heading, and only complete idiots fail to recognize that truth.

So, what will happen when the animals and plants are gone? What will we eat? Where will we live? Some say Space. There are more than enough planets waiting for the World Grinder… right? Some say we won’t have to eat, since our thoughts will be downloaded into robots, into robot brains. And there are yet other scenarios, one more horrifying than the next. Science and technology have created this world, this horror. And the solution, influential thinkers and masters say, is more of the same, ever more of the same thought-processes and actions that led us here, led us to this place called civilization, this tumor mimicking life.

I ask you, isn’t that insane? Isn’t that truly beyond insanity, to the point that even the word becomes meaningless?

So…

Have we lost all control over our own lives, all self-determination and independence?

I mean, I know that control is an illusion, know what the current professed masters of the Earth can’t admit, even to themselves.

But have we lost even the most miniscule bit of control? Are we mere puppets dancing to the mad tune of civilization and its eager prophets? Even faced with the worst of horrors, is there no way we can grab that horror by its balls, and cry havoc, shout from the mountaintops and rooftops… that enough is enough?

What are human beings?

I know what we are not. We are not puppets dancing on strings. We are not meat processed and digested through the Meat Grinder, through the Soul Grinder today’s world has become. We are not dead spirits, pretending to be human.

I know what we are. We are free beings, burning with creation and life, the fire of the world incarnate.

I know we are wasting it every second of the day. I know where that sad fact will ultimately lead us, where it will ultimately end, if we don’t start standing up for ourselves, finally start behaving like the fires of creation we are, and utterly and completely reject the illusion, the false hope of the World Grinder.

The Fire of Creation

My body turns numb, but my mind is soaring along ancient treks…

I completed my novel «Birds Flying in the Dark» this weekend. I’ve completed ten novels in my life and this was an expansion and rewriting of a version I wrote twenty years ago. I’ve learned writing by writing, and this is clearly a much better version.

A lot has changed during those twenty years. Twenty years ago I just wrote about witches. I wasn’t one, at least not in actual fact, only in potential. This was before a lot of Growth and Change, before I participated in my first Witchnight, before I learned the true value of Freedom, before I had really begun my life as a Traveler, before many things. I hadn’t learned, realized who and what I truly was then. Now, I have. It’s still the same story, but the most recent version is filled with detail, with knowledge that just wasn’t present in the first. This is the third book in the ten-book-series of the Janus Clan, ten stories about «the wild beast in the modern world».

I published the companion book to the series, ShadowWalk, «the eleventh Janus Clan story» in 2003. The other ten will be published from 2006 to 2010.

Finishing a story is very much like giving birth, and is always a cause for celebration. So I went out celebrating with a few friends yesterday, like I will keep doing during this week and the next, culminating in the Midsummernight (Litha) celebration the 21st. And more inspiration, twice the number, so to speak comes to me, as my body turns numb, as my mind does soar along infinite heights. Alcohol, and a number of other legal and illegal substances, has always been used by artists and creative people to enhance what’s already there, to open the door to our depths, open it wide.

And it does, now, and I see more of what’s hidden, more of the tapestry revealing itself, both that of my own story and that of the Universe.

We sit here, in a somewhat inspiring establishment or in a circle around a campfire, deep into the forest, and we enlighten ourselves. We bring out what is hidden, bring to the outside what is inside. I see the Janus Clan, I watch the Shadowwalkers roam the Earth and the Universe and the infinite planes of existence.

The story began as only a glimmer in the mind of a twelve-year-old boy. Now, it’s becoming fully fledged in the mind of a full-fledged Storyteller.

There is reason to celebrate. There often is, but now there is an even better reason than usual.

I Live, and I experience the Fire of Creation within myself.

Fear is the key

Fear does something to us. It is polished stone in our mind, ice in our gut.

Fear is apprehension, making us afraid to take one step forward, encouraging us to take ten leaps behind.

Make it so people don’t know fear, and they will always fear it.

Fear fears itself. And all is well with the world.

Fear makes the wheel go round. Fear makes the wheels move, makes all the little wheels move.

Fear makes us forget what we know.

Fear is the little voice inside, telling us to stay quiet, to keep grassing the pretty field.

The pretty field filled with nice sheep.

Fear is the milk and blood.

The oil smoothing us, turning us pliable.

The voice outside, telling us that a horrible life is a good thing.

Fear is the key.
